Hi

I have a customised version of CRM_EditLead (and some other screens) so that our sales staff cannot access the Convert to Customer button - I prefer to control when records are sent to QuickBooks. This is in a tab and tab group I have set up to keep our customised screens separate from the standard ones. I have been able to link the customised screens pretty well up to now, but when I use the green Search button from the Leads and Contacts List, the Select link on the left of the rows is trying to find the tab Leads or Customers to open the standard Edit Lead or Edit Customer screen. I can't find how to edit the grid on my customised CRM_Search_CustomerList screen to point to the customised edit screens in the new tab. It doesn't seem to work in the same way as the Go To Screen actions on the other screens. The Search screen is useful as there are many more fields to search on than in the Leads and Contacts List, e.g. City or Postcode.

I would be grateful for any help.

Hi Francesca,

The CRM_Search_Customer list on the stock screens is intended to be called as a Popup Window. The Popup window , and the 'Select' Button contained on the grid - assigns the necessary Record ID into a Shared Result, and then Closes the screen. Its the Customer and Contact List screen (where you orginally called the Popup screen from) which navigates to the appropriate tabs depending on these Shared Results.

How have you set it up so far? Would you be able to take a few quick Screenshots for me to take a look and see where we need to make modifications here?

Thanks so much for the quick response. I'm trying to puzzle my way around the screens, but it's getting late here in the UK, so I'll pick it up again tomorrow. Just to give you an idea in the meantime, I have created custom versions of CRM_LeadList and CRM_EditLead, both of which have been set up to replace the links from the original screens. The Search button is set to show a custom version of CRM_Search_CustomerList in the pop up.

Clicking on Go To.. directly from the custom Leads and Contacts List opens the custom Edit Lead screen fine, and Go Back works too. It's just the Search bit that won't work.
