Cannot change amount of an item in Estimate

    Hi,

    When I create an estimate and enter an item in the 'EstimateLine Grid', sometimes I need to change the amount of an item. I just noticed today that it will not let me do that. All I am trying to do is goto the amount field and change the price. However, when I click update, it just reverts back to the original price.

    This seems like something that most people would want to do. How do I change prices on the fly in an estimate?

    Hi Bryan,

    The Amount field is a calculated field and is generated based on the Quantity, Rate and Markup. What you can do if you want to be able to change the amount and have it reflect the markup is to put some actions on the Amount field so that when it is changed it updates the markup to reflect the new Amount.
