    Leads in CRM, custom field.

How do I add a field that can designate the stage I'm in.  I have a script that has 5 parts and I want to see where I left off when I have to call back to turn the lead into a customer.

    Thanks!!

    Answer

When you say stage are you referring to the lead (the actual contact) or the opportunity (sales deal)? For leads, why would you not use activities to track where you left off and when you have to call back? If this is for the opportunity, there is already a state field available. I would still use activities even for opportunities.

If I have miss-understood, please reply with some more details.
