I walked through the Advanced set up today, generated the code, and pushed to my test website http://216.128.1.102/ContactUs/ContactUs.aspx  

Upon pressing submit, there is a postback, but I do not get directed to my success page, and really nothing else happens (no emails to 'customer' or 'myself', and there is nothing in the leads queue back in Method.

For troubleshooting: I've set up and tested email server in account settings, added test and prod domains in step 1, checked all of the email sending options.

(fyi - there is a small bug: when adding a second To: email address in step 7, it doesn't save.  The tip to the side says to just separate by a comma, but it is never there when I go back to check after saving)

 I am excited about this functionality - any helps is much appreciated.

For testing purposes create a new page with just the web form and try it again, does it give you the same results?

Are you making any changes at all to the code we provide you?

I loaded up a test page (not linked to navigation, but on my production website).  I didnt' alter any of the code and I am experiencing the same results.  Here is the link...

As discussed via email, the web form on your website is not working but that code itself works, I tested the code that you emailed me that is straight from Method and it worked as it should.

We only support the code that is directly generated from Method outside of that there are too many variables that we cannot support.

Please note the title of my post "Advanced Web Form not functioning."  The key work here is 'Advanced'.  There are two options offered on your web form generator and this post is about the one called Advanced, not Basic.

The code I emailed you contained some simple relabeling of existing fields, reordering of existing fields, and some removal of existing fields. All of these are basic options within the Advanced web form generator.  Again, I want to state that I am not trying to tweak any of the code that the generator produces.  I am only trying to use the advertised functionality of the Advanced button.  See below:

The code you tested was not the code I sent you.  It appears to be generated from the other button called Basic (which is not what this post is about).  See below:

The code I tested was what you sent me. The email you received is what is setup on step 7 of 9 when configuring a web form unless you change the names there to reflect the changes you made it will send out the default email.

The only code on my test page (other than the copy/paste from the code generator) is the Master Page.  I can't imagine that causing any problems because those are practically everywhere.  Are you testing this in a dot.net environment.  I'm using code-behind pages.  Are there any pieces of this copy/paste that need to sit there?

I am not testing it in a .net enviroment. As far as supporting web forms we only support the code generated from Method which I tested in it simplist form and it works.

 Has anyone got this to work in a dot.net environment?

 I pulled out the master page and the code does work.  The issue is around ASP.net master/content pages calling Java.

Dave - thank you for posting.  I find it interesting.  

We're a .net shop ourselves and haven't run into the issue before.  We developed Method web forms to use HTML, Javascript and regular HTTP form posts so that it would work in *any* environment.  

I'm sure if anyone else runs into this problem, then you're findings will be a great help to them.  Thanks for sharing.
