We are trying to create a new process to track specific projects and their progress, and have the customer be able to login to their Method portal and see the current status of their order. Kind of like when you order a pizza online, and you can login in and see the delivery status (ordered -> pizza being built -> just been boxed -> out for delivery -> delivered). Our projects take a month to complete, so it does not need to be real time, but something the customer can check in on.
One thought was to create a "case" for each purchase order. Then each time we update the "case" the customer gets notified via email, or they can login to check for themselves, to ask questions, etc.
Has anyone done that, with a custom built form or screens and custom fields?
Maybe this is really simple, and we just don't have enough experience with what Method can do. Looking forward to hearing any advice!
