You can definitely constrain the data to a set number of rows as an option under the property grid.

Thx. I should have been more specific. I'm looking to filter data for the Preview, not merely constrain the number of records.
For instance, is there a way to Preview records by filtering certain fields? A WHERE clause, basically.

Not to my knowledge, I was reviewing the property grid for additional options but I could only find the number of rows setting.
