Job Status drop down renaming customization

I would like to rename the drop downs in job status to make it clearer for our employees. For example the current dropdown are Awarded, Inprogress, Completed, NotAwarded.

I want to rename them as:

    Awarded/Approved

    Inprogress/JobStarted

    Completed/Closed

    Not Awarded/Closed

If I can also create a box that allows the job started date to be entered somewhere close by that would be perfect.

Is there any way to include this drop downs as a filter in the customer list screen?

This change is made in QuickBooks but there's an issue, QuickBooks SDK does not allow us to actually see the custom captions you input.  If you made this change it would only be visible in QuickBooks.  There may be a way to customize around this limitation but there are a few areas where the job status is used (eg. the calendar) so you may be getting into a bigger customization job than you wanted.

To make the change in QuickBooks click Edit > Preferences > Jobs & Estimates > Company Preferences.

Actually the start date is already included on the stock Method screens and in QuickBooks.  When editing a customer record, under the payment & job info section you'll notice start date under the job status drop down.

Yes.  You'll need to make a copy of the CRM_CustomerList screen then edit the grid for Contacts.  Step 3 of 9 is where you can adjust the current filters or add new ones.  Have a look at some of the stock filters here and you should have a good idea how to build your own.  If you get stuck post back!
