    I would like to find a way to make a lead without haveing to choose lead type hot,cold,open,ect...

    Hello ntorres2014,
          It sounds like you want to customize the screen and take out some of the fields you do not need.  You can do this by copying the proper Lead screen (with selecting 'replacing links to an existing screen') so you can edit it.  You will do this in the Customize tabs -> Screens screen. Then you can take out the fields you don't want to have.  You will have to look out for any required fields so you don't remove them from the screen.
