It would be nice to be able to have an "Add New" option on drop down menus.

You can actually do this now it’s just not immediately clear the option is there. Here’s the basics:

1. Select the dropdown from the designer
2. Scroll to the end of the properties panel (for the selected dropdown)
3. Open up the Actions/Events options
4. Add at least 1 action to ‘Custom Row Click’

Then…

5. Scroll up (near top) of the properties panel (for the selected dropdown)
6. You should now see an option ‘Custom Row Text:’ to call the option ‘New / Edit’ or whatever

Having the caption at the top of the screen where you add the actions would be much more intuitive.
