Hi there,

Is it possible to close a estimate without deleting it? Not all of our quotes lead to sales and so we need the ability to close the quote but not delete it for our records. In the past, we've gone ahead and deleted the quote... but obviously this isn't good practice if we want to figure out our sales conversion rate.

Can you please assist with this?

Hey Justin,

You can set the estimate to be inactive on the estimate screen near the bottom of the screen. There is a checkbox that will allow you to set the estimate active so if you uncheck it , it should help you with your conversion rate. This applies to QuickBooks Desktop. If you are using QuickBooks Online then there is a drop down near the top called Status which you can use.
