Having trouble with the Method Outlook Plugin

    Having trouble with the Method Outlook Plugin

    Hello Method!

    I just installed the method plug in for outlook, and we are having some troubles syncing it to Method.

    After logging in with our company account, username, and password, I tried to press the synchronize button and I get the following errors.

    Also this error came up:

    Is there any documentation on how to sync correctly? and what do these errors mean?

    Hi jsautel,

    Glad to hear you found our Videos there. Here are some extra articles relating to the OutLook Plugin for you -

    Regarding the Errors - The Final screenshot you uploaded shows the Error because the  Subject Format and Location format are the same value (Entity in this case). You'll need to make them separate before you can save. Typically I like to use Contacts Name for Subject Format - and Contacts Phone Number for Location Format, but this is entirely up to you!

    The Other error messages you are seeing typically happen because the Dropdown values for Activity Type and Activity Status have changed in your Method account since you logged into the Plugin. If you reselect these values - or Log out and back into the Plugin - these should clear up also.

    Hi Ben,

    I'm having an issue with the outlook plugin connecting with my method account. I get the error that the API could not validate my log in.  <?xml version+"1.0" encoding= "windows-1253" ?> <MethodAPI response= "Failure. The API Could not validate log in......>  


     I've verified account information, verified my user account in Method is checked to allow API access and I'm using my user name for user name, not email address.  Thanks,

    Hi Mesan,

    Sorry to hear you are having troubles!

    You mentioned you are using your Username to log in - can you go ahead and give your Sign-in Email a try too? Either one should be working, but I have noticed some troubles with usernames with 2 words (typically first and last name).
