Items List Name Change

    Items List Name Change

    We have renamed our items list within Quickbooks (i.e. National Accounts:Revenue:Sprinkler Service to NA:Rev:Sprk Srvc).  This issue is that Quickbooks shows the change, but Method only shows some of them as being changed.  I've done a full sync without sucess.

     

    Is there something else we need to do to sync the changes to our items list?

    John - can you try to do a sync now and see if that fixes it?  I think I know what the problem was.

    I'm now having the same issue with my customers list/Name.

    Great to hear.

    Okay, try syncing again and letting it fix your customers now.

    So here's the problem.  QuickBooks isn't notifying us that the sub-customers and sub-items have had their FullName changed.  Since the FullName is derived from a combination of the parent customer/item and the sub-customer / sub-item, the notification of updates on parents aren't affecting the childs.  I hope I didn't lose you. :)

    We're going to have to do a little extra work in the syncing portion to make this automatic.  So between now and the time we get a solution for this, this could happen again.  We'll try to get a solution asap.
