    Activity Type Disappeared

    Hello,

    We used to be able to select "Meeting" as an activity type in the New/Edit activity form, but now it's gone. Is this a Method update thing?

    @MikeB

    No the update did not affect this table. In your Method Account, go to Customize > Screens > CRM_ActivityTypeList, select View. Check to see if "Meeting" is still on the list. If not, you can always add it back in. I am not sure why this record was removed from your account. However, this is an easy way to resolve it.

    Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    @MikeB - to add to what Chad just mentioned, our updates would never "delete" entries you have in your account.  That would just be bad news for all Method users.  You can always monitor the updates we do release by visiting our release notes area on the website.

     Thanks, but that's only 1/2 the issue.

    I discovered that "Meeting" is on the list, but the value in the "App Specific" column was "Yes". I assume that I change it to "No", as the only types shown in the drop-down for a New Activity have that "No" value.

    To confirm, changing that value should be OK and not cause anything to go haywire?

    No this will not cause Method to go haywire.

    The App Specific column represent the selected Acitivity Type can only be found in a specific application within Method.

    Ex. Our "Work Order" activity is only found within our Field Services App. So under this column then the "Work Order" has a 'Yes'

    If you change the 'Meeting' activity 'App Specific' column to 'No' then you should see this activity back in your list.
