Adding a filter to a dropdown

A user asked how to add a filter to a dropdown. Specifically he wanted to filter out inactive employees from an employees and vendors dropdown list.

    Hi Shawn,

To customize this screen, open it up in Method and right click it. You will see the option to customize. The next screen you will see is the screen designer (click here for a screen designer overview). For each dropdown field that you want to modify, click the Edit button on the field, and skip to Step 5 of 6. From the list of fields available, choose the IsActive field, click Insert Filter..., and choose the Equals Yes option. See my screenshot below.

Make sure you save your changes and Publish your new screen. Hope this helps! Please reply on the forums if you get stuck.

    Jason
