Attachments to emails and activities

    Attachments to emails and activities

    Hi - I am trying to figure out how to add attachments to emails and activities.   is this not available in the system?  We are a third party administrator for health benefits claims and need to be able to attach documentation for activities and emails.   Let me know.

    Hi Christy,

    You can totally store your documents in Method, and even link them to customers, cases, opportunities, solutions, and more! Please see this article which is one of five about Method's Document Library. Through some customization, it is definitely possible to send your documents as attachments. In the Send Email actionthere is a field called Attachment Location which can be utilized for this purpose. If you need help setting this up, you can contact an in-house consultants or a Method Solution ProvidersAlso, here is another post that might shed a bit more information.

    Hi - It doesn't appear the document library is available to attach to activities unless I'm missing something.  I also don't see the field "attachment location" in the "send email" action.    Atleast it's not available on the version of Method I'm using.  Please advise.

    Hi Christy,

    You can link a document to an activity from the New / Edit Document Link screen. To get here, press the New Document Link... button from the Edit Document screen. In your customization, you will have to add additional logic that will place your desired document into an action result. See below where you can then add the action result as an attachment in the Send Email action.
