Show which rep is logged in

I need to customize the list lead grid list so it only links to edit leads when the logged in sales rep owns that lead.

So I figured out how to create a condition on that goto link, that checks the rep initials against some other field on the screen, if that does not equal that it stops all other actions.

The problem is I do not know how to create a field on the screen with the sales rep initials who is currently logged in.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi CF_Pro,

Based on what you've said, there are other ways to achieve what you want. If you simply only want your sales reps to be able to view and edit their own customers, you can do this using shared records. There was a blog post awhile back that goes over how to set this up. You can find it here: Sharing Customers, Activities and More.

There may be other ways to achieve what you are looking for, but that really depends on your specific needs.

Would the sharing records article be what you are looking for?
