Group Items not Hidden on Estimate anymore

    Group Items not Hidden on Estimate anymore

    This afternoon around 4:40pm Pacific time, I could not login to method for about 20-30 minutes.  When method finally allowed me back in, I've notice a problem with the Estimates.  All the Estimates I created with Group Items now show all the detail on my Estimate report.  Prior to this, the Group items would be visible to me on the Estimate screen, but they would be properly hidden on the Estimate report I send to customers.  Please advise and help!  Thanks

    Hello Dave,

        Has your email template changed?  When you are in your estimates screen, click More actions... and choose Customize Print Templates... .  In the popup you will see a list of transactions with their associated print template.  For estimate, has it been changed to another report?  The default print template for estimates is Estimate (Custom).  If a dropdown is blank, then the default print template is being used.

       I would not associate the inability to log in with the estimate report.  If you are having trouble logging in, give us a call on the Method support line 1-888-925-238 x2.  We can help you out and take a look and any problems you may be experiencing.

    It doesn't appear that the email templates have changed. It appears to still be associating to the correct print template.  made no changes to my templates. Prior to this downtime, all group items were hidden. Now they are not.  It sure seems curious that my issue started after the trouble logging in last night...please advise. thanks!

    Hello Dave,

       I found out that it could be two things.  One, there was an update to the Generate Report action around the same time you experienced the problem.  The update could be related. Give Method support a call and we can create a case and ticket.  This is the best way to document and track progess on a fix.

       Second, it may be that the 'Print Item in group' option is now checked.  You can find the Item Lists under Lists -> Items -> Go To... for the item group in question.
