Method speed, and an email question

Working with Method from Salesforce.  I really like some of the features it offers, and am getting used to it pretty quickly.  I have successfully started modifing the estimate template and screens to fit my quote needs.

One big issue I have noticed - It is substantially slower than Salesforce.  This holds true over a very fast cable connection, and a moderately slow DSL connection.  It seems that the screens take a while to load, and PDF's take some time to generate...  I appear to be on Server 3.  Is this a common issue with a trial?

Last question - one feature that Salesforce had was I was able to email the customer a quotation PDF directly.  In Method it appears to send the customer to a login screen where they can view their account, and the PDF...  While I think this is a super cool feature as they can also see any case followups, etc - which is great, is there a way I can just email them a PDF attachment from within Method instead of the link to a download?

    Thanks!

    Hello industrialrobotix,

Speed is not a common issue with a trial.  The trial and regular accounts run on the same servers.  There isn't any difference between both types except on the billing end.  We have been working on getting Method quicker to load and you should see some speed gains soon.

For emailing a report.  It can be done.  The overall process will be to generate the report and place it into the emailHere is an example to create the invoice reporton how to attach PDF invoices to the invoice email.  To generate the report, you will have to add a Generate Report action on the Email button or group of actions.    Take note that the Print Preview button has an identical Generate Report action you can reference.  I save the report to the Action Result resultInvoiceReport to access in another action.  I also use the Invoice (Product) report.

Next, attach the Action Result holding the report to the email.  On the Save & Email button in the invoices screen, action 45 holds the Send Email action.  You need to put the Generate Report action before the Send Email action to make the Action Result available.  Then it is simply selecting the Action Result, which is called resultInvoiceReport, in the Send Email action.

The customer will get the email with the link and have the Invoice attached as a PDF.
