    Activity #

Hello. One question: If the Activity # is assigned to a WO does it mean that the Activity has been created and should show up in occurrences lists? All of a sudden my customized Add/Edit WO screen is generating an Activity # but it's not saving it and when I want to create another one the following Activty # shows up...

To check, I did it on the Method default screen and it created the WO, and it showed up in the occurrences list, and then I did an edit on the created WO on my customized screen, saved it and changes were saved, which tells me that my customized screen is in fact working cause it saves changes. My screen has been working fine until today.

    Thanks,

    Answer

    Hi Marco,

The Activity # field is really just the Activity table's RecordID field, it's automatically populated with the next value in sequence when you create an activity or work order.

    Hope this helps.

    Re: Activity #

    Thanks Justin, yes it helps.

To check if my customized screen had mistakes I copied it and the copy was delivering the following message: An unexpected error occurred while processing the results in your browser... The original customized screen didn't give this error.

But anyway. I then deleted the recurrence type field I had added on friday and the screen is now working correctly. I'm doing a lot of customization in spanish and I have to be careful when words work as filters or are included in actions.

    Marco.
