    Open & Overdue Balances

In QB's, I am able to view Open Invoices and Overdue Invoices (which is great for our collections rep).  However, I have been unable to find a solution to separate and display the invoice data in Method.  Here is my issue:

Open - The “Open” field (standard name “Balance”) is populating the combined totals from the “Open” and “Overdue” data from QB and needs to only show the “Open” balances from QB.

Overdue – This field was renamed as “Overdue” from the standard “Total Balance” field name and does not populate any data at all.   It needs to pull  the QB'sOverdue” balances into this field.  Any invoice still open 15 days after the original invoice date is considered “Overdue” as our QB billing terms are set as “Net 15.”

Both the Open & Overdue fields need to populate on the Customer List screen as well as within each Edit Customer screen.  Essentially, I want to be able to sort by Open and/or Overdue balances on the Customer list screen, and when clicking on the "Edit Customer" link from this screen, I need to see this data here as well.

Any guided help would be greatly appreciated as Method is essentially useless for us until I can get this working correctly.

    Hi Bigshotpromos,

What you can do is create two new filters for the grid called open balances and overdue balances in step 3 of the grid wizard. These views will allow you to filter which customers have open or overdue invoices similarly to QuickBooks Desktop.
You will have to gather the Balance of the customer and then also compare the date difference between the TxnDate and DueDate. If the amount of days is less than 15 days then it will show up under open invoices and if the days is greater or equals to 15 then it will show up as overdue.

I would gather the two values outside of the grid in separate objects and then use the values in the filters.
