Group Type double post on sales orders in QuickBooks

When I create a Method Sales Order from a Method Estimate the items in the group show double when the Sales Order post to QuickBooks.  I used the original Method Estimate and Sales order screens, no customization.  I created the sales order using the sample Rock Castle database group type A1-Custom Storage. Is This a known bug ???

    Thanks,

    Victoria Shaw

    Hi Victoria,

I have been able to replicate this in my account. Please give us some time to look into this further. We will be sure to post to this thread with any updates.

    Thank you.

    Answer

    Victoria,

Our original Estimate screen required a small update for this to work as you would expect it to in QuickBooks. We’ve already pushed this out which is the good news. Thanks!

Now, these updates will not hit any customized version of the screen. We’ve listed the changes below (simple changes) so that you can reverse engineer a copy of the latest estimate screen and duplicate the updates on your customized version.

Estimate Screen > More actions > Create Sales Order

    • NEW - Sequence 18 - Set resultLastGroupRecordID to empty.
    • MODIFIED - Sequence 19 - Sorted by LineOrder then RecordID, instead of just RecordID.
    • NEW - Sequence 29 to 31 - Set resultLastGroupRecordID to empty if the item is not a group child.
    • MODIFIED - Sequence 32 - InsertRecordID, set SalesOrderLineGroupRecordID to resultLastGroupRecordID.
    • NEW - Sequense 33 to 35 - Set resultLastGroupRecordID to the newly inserted line.

    Hope this helps. Thank you.
