QBO Payment Not Posting to invoice

    QBO Payment Not Posting to invoice

    Created invoice number 63020 in Method on 12/9.  Synced to QBO.  Received payment in QBO on 12/13.  On the customer screen, I can see both the invoice and the payment in the transactions, but it appears the payment didn't apply to the invoice.  Customer still shows a "Current Balance" of $62.72 on the customer screen and the invoice shows up as outstanding and not paid.  I did do a a Quickbooks Changes Only sync.  Didn't show any updates in the process.  I don't see anything special that sticks out in the Audit trail.  I can see that the payment was added from QBO.

    Shawn-

    I just tested this and was unable to duplicate it. Does the balance show up incorrectly in both QB and QBO? Can you enable MethodSupport and email me your account name and I will take a look.

    Michael,

    It appears that the invoice and payment are now associated with each other.  Is this something I could have done from my end?

    Shawn-

    From the looks of it, it looks like the payment was associated to an invoice that you had deleted. I am still looking into this further but what I did was edited the payment in Recieve Payment screen and remove it from pointing to the incorrect invoice.

    Hmm, seems like I was having issues with the deleted invoice posting to QB correctly.  I can't remember exactly what it was but I think it might have been been that when I looked at it in Quickbooks, something in the lineitems wasn't right.  I think I was trying to edit it in Method but it wouldn't update in QBO so I eventually deleted it.  Probably deleted it in QBO.  That may have been the issue.

    Just for clarification and future reference, you went in to the received payment, unchecked the "Auto Apply Payments?" and then selected the invoice from the list?  Is that correct?
