• Re: Sales Order Line Item - Qty Invoiced
When does the Qty Invoiced number change on a Sales Order line item?
You'll need to wait for the sync engine to catch up on this one.  First your sales order needs to get posted, then your invoice needs to get created and posted to QB.  After syncing everything should be updated for you - ...

  • Re: API General Question

Ok Dave – I figured out what the issue is but I have no idea how to fix it. 1)      I insert a Customer and Estimate through the API. 2)      I use DataSetV2 to retrieve the Estimate back. At this point, the estimate “Billing” information is empty – Fields: ...

  • Re: Estimate Search by Number limited
Is there a setting that  I need to change?
It sounds like the Transaction History timing is set too low for your estimates.  By default we only reach back 31 days into your transaction history, longer than this and you'll need to adjust your default settings. Go to the tab Quickbooks > ...

  • Re: Importing Checks

Thanks Chad, I look forward to hearing what you come up with because I needed to do a similar import for deposits (only 400 records), and am now running into another problem. I was able to import into the DepositTotal field without any problems. I also imported my deposit lines and all looks fine in Method.  Then I did my QBD sync. Checks ...
Well, I am testing against CRM data which can be manually entered without a QB sync. I have successfully tested getting customer and entity data, adding phone call event, etc.
Jacob - yes, you can enter data into the CRM tables without syncing but that doesn't mean you're not going to run into ...

  • Re: Trying to generate links

Hi Jacob, Following up on Method_Danny's point. When you login to method, it checks if you have ever done a quickbooks sync. If you have not, it takes you to the quickbooks --> synchronization tablink so you can set up a sync. The same logic still fires even if you are coming off a link generated via the api. We are still ...

  • Re: Syncing Gmail/ Mac Mail with Method?

@jnairn - three things I'll add to what Val wrote is: - Our gmail gadget is using "Google Contextual Gadgets" which are only applicable to Google Apps accounts (i.e. the paid business version of gmail, not the freebie gmail). - If you use Google Apps, you can currently sync it with Outlook using Google Apps Sync. That's what we ...

  • Re: API to run reports

Hi DaveS, Currently there are no plans in place to add the ability to create new QB reports via the API. To regenerate a report via the API, let's use the screen QuickBooks_Scheduled Reports as example. What happens when the regenerate report button is pressed? For the selected report the generated date is cleared. Then the next time a ...

  • Re: Recommended way to handle a repair process?

Michael - My understanding is that in order to create a PO, you need to select a vendor, not a customer.  So, in order to do the proposed method, I would have to create a second instance of every customer as also a vendor?  Or can you merge and link them in Method so you have one entry viewed as vendor OR customer which will then sync ...

  • Re: Generating Sales Order in Method creates conflict error "missing posting account"

Hi Heather, In order to fully take advantage of sales orders in Method you would need to upgrade from QuickBooks Pro. Since Pro does not have sales orders you will get a conflict when you try to sync sales orders. What you could try is checking wait for sync approval on the sales order, that will prevent Method from trying to post the Sales ...
