I added a drop down field named "Warranty" to the "InvoiceLine" table. The dropdown pulls from another table with warranty periods. I then added this field to the InvoiceLineItems grid in the Invoice screen and publish. The screen shows the new drop down witht the list contents correctly. I select a value and then click update to save the row. The value is displayed in the row correctly at this point. I then save the invoice and clear the screen. I return to the original invoice and notice that the value I selected is no longer there but blank.

Add object options for a screen

When adding an object such as a text box to a screen. What is the data relationship between that object and the screen or underlying table?

I want to add a notes field to the invoice screen. I understand I can add the field to the Invoice table and then add the field. Just wondering what the purpose of the other objects are and is there a recommended process.

While customizing tables I ran across a scenario where I tried to delete a custom table but received the message below.

"Table 'Warranty' is used in a relationship with another table currently. It cannot be deleted at this time. Delete the relationship field in the other table and you may delete this table."

I looked through every table I thought I might have added it to but could not find the relationship preventing me from deleting the table.

I thought - wow it sure would be nice if there was a tool that would allow you to see table relationship information.

Helpful Tool:
List relationship information for a table or the message pop up could list the information it knows is preventing the deletion.

Problem:
After creating a relationship between tables there is no way to see these relationships afterwards. You just know there is relationship somewhere to another table.

Filter records in report desinger

How do i filter records in the report desinger. Example - using the already built SimpleInvoice. It will display all invoices for all customers.

When I preview my report everything looks great. When I do print preview method where it rips it to pdf. All my fonts go to MS San sarif and my logo gets distorted.

How do I preserve the original look?
