If my logic is correct then would it not seem like a problem if my statememt

Yes/No: starts with ? Type In Armenian

was changed by the Method program to

Yes/No starts with ? Action Result ArmAcct

Kristopher,

I actually got the Character function idea from you as an answer to "Creating a Subset." Maybe the best way to handle this would be to test my logic of what this function does.

Select value: Action Result ArmAcct (The data to start the process)

action: Yes?No: starts with ?

Yes/No: starts with ? Type In Armenian (If ArmAcct starts with Armenian return True else False)

Action Result name: ArmError (Store either True or False to ArmError)

If the above logic is correct then

Yes/No starts with ? Action Result ArmAcct (will always result in True because it is comparing itself against itself).

Please correct my logic if this is incorrect.

Character Function Issue

I have created a Character Function with the following information:

Select Value: Action Result ArmAcct

action: Yes/No: starts with ?

Yes/No: starts with ? Type In Armenian

Action Result name: ArmError

After saving it and opening it back up the information has changed to:

Yes/No: starts with ? Action Result ArmAcct

Erasing and resaving does not solve the problem.

Bugs

I have come across what I think are two bugs it is at least unexpected behavior:

Bug #1

I added the Bank Number field onto the Add/Edit Account section of the Chart of Accounts screen.
An account was selected and I typed a number into the Bank Number field.
Hit Save and the data appeared in my QuickBooks. Great.
However, when the screen is refreshed the number that was just typed in is cleared and can no longer be accessed in the Method system. It stays the same in my QuickBooks data.

Bug #2

I copied the Checks screen
I modified the Numeric Field Formatting option on the Amounts field.
I erase the data and hit save.
I open up the Amount field to the Numeric Field Formatting option and the data is still there.

The Numeric Field Formatting screen says it is Step 4 of 4 but it has a Next button which does nothing.

Lastly, what are the possible choices for this screen?

Creating a Subset

I have copied the Check screen and want to limit the Account field to a subset of the bank accounts. I have tried using different actions but have not come up with the proper result. If I wanted to limit the accounts in the drop down to those that had bank numbers starting with 9999, how would I do that?
