Hi Guys I am really confused now. How much would you charge to do the custom work to get this going. What I would like is to be all once a month go to list builder generate a list of customers that have outstanding balances. Email a letter to the customers, with the details of the invoices. i.e

dear customer

Your balance is xxx.xx

Outstanding invoices are

No: 1234 amount is:xx.xx

No: 23455 amount is xx.xxx

and so on.

Thanks for coming back to me Ryan.

However I am trying to use it on the list builer screen. The button that I use to send email on this screen is the process all button. Is this the button I need to add the action, character function or is it on the email template button ?

What does this mean and how do I do it.

If you are not the designer of your system, this step should already be done for you. If you are a designer, however, you'll need to do some extra work to make sure that the merge fields actually get replaced with real values. For every table used in merge fields, you'll need to run a Character Function action, specifically the 'Replace merge fields' command, to replace the merge fields with real values.

P.s should I have got a manual on how to customise when I signed up, cos When your stuck there is no help or nowhere to look.

I have tried this but it doesn't work.

Hi I would like to be able to generate an email template with the following

dear customer name

you have the following outstanding invoices.

invoice number invoice amount

Total amount

Please pay as soon as you can.

How do I go about this,is there a book or reference or something.

Nevermind got it working also.

How do I get a confirmation to pop up to say email delivered after sending.

Hey Guys, I got this working now all by myself, another question at the moment i have the subject as the invoice number, but in front of the invoice number I want to put text so it looks like so. Invoice Number: 2100 etc.

Any clues on how to go about htis ?

Hi I have created an email button on the invoice screen, I have it setup with an action to generate the invoice in a report and then an action to retrieve the customers email address an then an action to email it. So three actions in all. However I keep getting this error Error^Action Sequence:3. Error with sending data;Server says: 503 valid RCPT command must precede DATA .

Can you help out with this.

BTW why do you make this so hard I assume there are lots of people that would like to create an invoice and email it.

Hi if I use the activity and send and email to a customer it gets sent not problem so I know my mail connections are working fine. Howerver I am trying to use the list builder to send an outstanding invoice reminder, I populate listbuilder with the invoices, then I go to process the list and it asks me am I sure I want to send an email to very customer I say yes and thats it appears that all went well but none of my customers ever recieve the email. I know because I added myself as a test as well. If I choose to export to excel they export no problem, why wont they email ?

What I would like is a the end of every month to be able to setup a recurring task to auto send a list of outstanding invoices to my customers, so I might get paid quicker.

Also how do you change the default templates used when sending emails.
