1. The hour glass curser flickers constantly sometimes slowing us way down in QB

2. Online backup service cannot access QB file because Method is accessing the file

Our install is as follows:

5 desk top users with QB Enterprise and Method integration and listener installed. One of these users with Admin permissions is set up to "listen for changes on". Changes are set up for every 20 minutes and a full sync one time a day when we are not in the office

On site server with with QB data file only

We are currently using QB more because of some customization we are doing in Method.

Is our set up OK or is there a better way to do this? We would have to buy another 5 user pack of QB if we wanted the program on the server.

Thanks

Thank you for replying. Yes we do an auto back-up in the early AM hours. Being able to pause the engine would be nice. One less thing to think about. I'll wait to here from you.

It will not back up if the method integration engine is running. If we shut down the engine then we have to log into and wait while method scans the QB files for changes. This can take some time. Is there a way around this?

Gps navigation, tracking and mobile internet computing solution for Method and QB

We are a field service company. Our techs will have mobile computers to
access method rather than through a cellular device. I feel it will be
quicker for them to use and they will use the lap top for accessing
manufacaturers sites for tech info. I would like to be able to dispatch
a job from Method that the address would go to a navigation device
(computer or GPS unit) and give them turn by turn directions to the
job, while also being able to track (truck) in the office. With the
W.O. entry in Method only. Our techs will be entering their invoices
into method on a mobile lap top. I also want the start and stop times
to automatically go to method (for that particular W.O.) for billing
and QB for payroll. I have looked at Xora, Telanav, Air Track and Tom
Tom Work. Does anyone have any suggestions of a package that will do
this or can customized intergration be done. If so on what platform?
Seems as though most solutions are geared toward the cellular device.
I would like to keep the phones seperate from the navigation, tracking
and mobile computing solution.

Thanks

Thank you for responding. I will try that on the next screen. I did notice that if I leave the fields and objects all at their smallest size and close the fields and objects section, the layout seems to work better. After the layout is finished, then expand the objects and fields to the size I want. Have you found this to be true?

Reloading the screen does not always work. This problem seems very eratic. Sometimes I will end up with two objects in one field. When I view the page, my objects will not be uniform. Am I missing something? Would it help if I decide how many rows I need before I add any objects.
