I was able to work through this with MisterBill. The email addresses that they were trying to register were found elsewhere in the database.

That looks really great and is quite an improvement! Good job! When accessing the page from the Gmail Gadget, I think I'd still hide the left menu and only show the Gmail Gadget settings though.

I see what you're saying, and perhaps its not technically possible based on what you're describing... The two scenarios aren't handled the same in Gmail though since when I reply to a message, I don't have to go to the sent Items folder to add the activity but can do this right from the Inbox or other folder. When I compose a new message, I do have to go to the Sent Items folder to assign it an activity after sending.

Danny - We all work differently... I find that after talking with clients or leads on the phone, I then send follow up emails giving them information that I'd like to log. I compose, and then go to the Sent folder to add as an activity after its been sent. Equally as often, I'll reply to an email like you do and then use the Email Sent and Received type. These two scenarios make up the bulk of what I'm using it for, so I thought it would be a good suggestion for there to be another default or preference there... Just a suggestion though.

Hi Danny - If you're able to, it makes sense to me to put that one additional setting in there for a default activity type when in the sent items folder. That way, we don't have to change the type over and over again. Currently, if I set the default to Email Outgoing, then when adding activities from folders other than the Sent folder, I have to change the type to Email incomming. If I set the default to Email Incomming, I then have to chenge it when in the Sent folder.

I have this same comment... Would be great to default to the email's date & time rather than current time. Also, if in the Sent folder, default the activity type to Email Outgoing instead of Email Incomming.

Hi Wavetec - I'm an advanced certified Method consultant and provide an extensive amount of support and customization services for many clients using Method. In similar customization projects, we've added an additional selection grid on the left of the screen to accomplish this. It sounds like you've already added the grid to your screen, but that grid may only be showing surgeons that are related to the selected customer.

Specifically, you'd add another unattached grid based on your Surgeon Contact Info table with two columns: Surgeon Name, and Practice Name. This grid could be used to search (filter) for surgeon names, but then would have the Practice (customer) name right next to it. You can then make the Practice name column in the grid linkable and when clicked, it would also set the active record for the screen based on the Practice (customer).

Let me know if you need any help in programming this or if I can help with more complex customization projects in the future...

Hi Paul - I'm not sure I like the coloring on the left with white text when selected, and there are some formatting issues (at least on my screen). For instance on the Email section, the fields appear below the left menu. Otherwise the look seems good. I'll also say that when accessing this profile screen from the Gmail gadget, its a little confusing... At first, I didn't know what the password, notifications, and email sections were referring to. I started thinking that the Gmail gadget may have a separate password, and that the Gmail gadget may be able to email reminders and SMS alerts. Its only when you mentioned that this is the new My Profile screen that I realized that this was not a settings screen only for the Gmail gadget, it was the my Profile screen.

The new My Profile screen will work well from within Method, but I'd suggest hiding the left menu when clicking on settings from the Gmail gadget and only showing the options under the Gmail Gadget menu item on screen. See what other feedback you get, but I think many users will be confused by that at first.
