Adding Report to screen

Thought I added a report to my customer screen. Report called Lead sheet. The screen says it was published but the report does not show up. Also did not see the prompts where I can indicate what records to process.

Converting leads to customers

I have set up several leads in Method. Currently I am creating estimates directly in QB. Since the 'lead' was not in QB when I created an estimate I also created a 'duplicate' customer. The only thing I can think of to work around this is to go to Method and update the 'Lead only' or 'active customer' check boxes before creating the estimate.

Is there a better way?

Also tried sending out the template as an activity - send email. Can't find the SEND button.- I see now that I need to Save and complete.

Have been able to send out emails from individual activities. I have a picuture imbedded in the email. The first couple tests I sent out retained the picture. Now when I click on the Outlook message I lose the picture and get a box. I have tried to save to server but same result.

Sending emails to leads

I am trying to get up to speed quickly on this and got stuck.

First I am finding 'fill list with' extremely slow. I am asking for 'is active" - "lead statusonly". I have been calling it then working on other stuff until it populates. Is there something I can do to speed it up? also can I stop a query once it starts, for instance to change a bad choice in criteria. Can Customer:jobs be omitted, including only the top tier customer entry?

Next I decided to customize my customer screen so the default is lead status only. I think I did this. I was noticing that my leads were being added to QB. Now on the customer list screen I would like to see 'Leads' even if they have an estimate, which makes them active QB customers as well as a lead. Tried to modify the filter view by but could not find on the customize screen.

I set up a test customer so I could send out an email and added a new email template. When I create an email can I use tables to format. So far I haven't been able to create a nicely formatted email.

This is the message I get after reset "computer ..." and full sync - The Method Integration Engine on your computer is currently disconnected. No synchronization can be performed until the Method Integration Engine connects to the server.

New computer - Can't restore Method Sync

My computer died and I had to purchase a new one and move all my apps over. What can I do to restore the sync?

Tried to de-install and re-install and something is still wrong. Getting this message.

Method Push™ status: Disconnected on 0.0.0:0 since 9/28/2009 2:35:35.

Further investigation... Found that the installer unpacked the files to the directory. Documents_and_settings\office_manager\local_settings\Applications_Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook_Add-on_for_MethodIntegration. ( I have several users on this PC but am currently using Office Manager)

Several *.dlls and MethodCRMAddin.exe in the directory. Clicked on MethodCRMAddin.exe and it produces a dialog box where I can enter my Method company account and sign in credentials, which it accepted and returned a second "input" dialog box.

Back to Outlook to try to install. Went to Tools-Options-Other-Advanced options. Clicked the Com Addin button. Selected the Outlook Addin for Method Integration. Takes me to a dialog box that lets me browse for the add in (exe or dll?) The default directory is Addins which is empty so I browse to the directory where the installer had unpacked its file and selected MethodCRMAddin.exe. Outlook returned the error ... Is not a valid office add in.

Please advise.

Since I have tried several add-ins etc over the past couple years, per your suggestion, I reinstalled Outlook on my PC. The result was a bit messy. The new install disconnected me from my .pst file so I initially lost my data. Got that back, although now it shows up in a seperate folder. Still no Method buttons.

I really want to get this working so I did a bit more investigation. Found that the Method add-in procedure unpacks the COM dlls and puts them in a directory but does not install them into Outlook. Here are the steps I followed.

Looked at Oulooks HELP 'system' to find the addin was there but installed = NO

Looked at Outlook HELP installing COM addins. Summary of steps. Tools-Options-Advanced Options-Addins Available-Add-(select the Method add-in shown) This directs you to find the add-in in a directory but I could not find.

Back to the operating system to change my file setting to show hidden system files, then searched to find the method integration dlls.

Went back into the Outlook Advanced options. This time I can see the files. Chose the Office.dll but got an error message that it is not a valid Outlook add in. Tried some of the other .dll files in the directory but none was 'valid'.

I will forward you all my screen shots.
