The reason I am asking is (quote from PC World mag article - one of many comments on this):

None of your old Office add-ins will work in the 64-bit world. They have to be rewritten and recompiled specifically for 64-bit Office 2010. In some cases, programming controls commonly used in the 32-bit world aren't even available in 64-bit. (Details are available in the MSDN Library article on compatibility.) Microsoft now offers conditional compilation support that differentiates between 32-bit and 64-bit, so sufficiently savvy programmers can write 32-bit and 64-bit ActiveX controls at the same time, but every single line of old code has to be examined and, in many cases, rewritten

64 Bit MS Office and the Method Outlook Plug-in

Will it work with 64 bit office?

Re: User Account is Locked Out While Attempting to Add OL Contact to Method

If I have the user setting on "allow permissions on selected existing tables" (with those for Outlook integration being the ones selected), then I still get the error about not having permissions on this table when I first try to add a contact to method, but if I hit the OK button on that message it then goes on to the screen where the contact details are set-up to me pushed to Method.

If I have the user settings for all existing tables, then it works with any problems.

Re: User Account is Locked Out While Attempting to Add OL Contact to Method

When I hit OK on the error it then opens to screen to add the contact, so this is not the same behavior as before.

Re: User Account is Locked Out While Attempting to Add OL Contact to Method

Tested - same error regarding user does not have permission on this table.

Done now - will test.

Re: User Account is Locked Out While Attempting to Add OL Contact to Method

OK, that was at least part of the problem.

However: now the user get a message that "user does not have permissions on this table."

I went back to screen 8 of the user setting and it is set to "this user only has access to specific existing tables" with the drop down set on "All tables required for Outlook Integration."

I guess the easy fix would be change the setting to "this user has access to all existing tables," but its seems like the current setting should work.

I just added the beta of CRM Pro. Could this be putting some tables into play with the Outlook Integration that are not being addressed by the setting in the user configuration?

User Account is Locked Out While Attempting to Add OL Contact to Method

When a user (not the administrator) attempts to add an Outlook contact to Method using the Outlook Add-in v 2.1.40 the following error is encountered:
