Method Sync Engine Question

Is there a setting for the sync engine to not auto launch every time you open Quick Books?? - it really slows things down and is not necessary to sync every time we open the program.

Cannot Create New Opportunities - Get Error Message

Greetings Method Folks -

We keep on getting the following Message when tying to creat a new Opportunity -yet the field that it is asking to be filled Does Not Exist - therefore we cannotenter any New Opportunities.

Anyone at Method see this before??

'CustomerRef' is required field when saving a record.

Please make sure the field 'CustomerRef' is available on the screen and a value is entered.

thanks for your reply - yes, use Gmail for authentication only - my email for my account is correct (kevin@larrysbeans.com), yet the emails still come over with the Gmail address as the from address.So emails are not pulling correctly for us.

any other guesses here?

thanks for the reply! I tried what you said - I sent an email to another account and the from address showed up as our Gmail authentication address, not as Kevin, my user name. am i doing something wrong here?

Email Template Bug?

Greetings -

I am creating an Email Template yet when I enter a From Name, it does not save it to the template. If you do not fill this field out, then the email address is what shows as the From when it is sent to the recipient (we use a generic gmail account to run our Method email, so the address does not make sense to anyone outside of our sales team). All other fields in the template work fine. Is this a bug?

Heya Ryan - thanks for the reply!

however, the method of going through the advanced search method does not work as stated. if you create a new customer lead from that button, on the Additional Info tab, true the Lead Status Only box is checked, yet the Customer Is Active box does not exist yet. Once you save the page, the Customer Is Active box then appears and by default, it is checked, meaning it does appear in QBooks - when you don't want it to. (no transaction has occurred either to trigger a dump into QBooks)

any work around on this or do you need to customize screen for this feature to work properly?

"Is Lead Status Only" Issue

I am trying to find the proper screen to customize so that all of my new customers default to "Is Lead Status Only" and do not show up in QBooks.

Method says: Tip: If you want to default a new customer to Is Lead Status Only, simply customize this screen, and edit the properties of Is Lead Only to have the Default Value of checked.

I cannot seem to find the place to do this - help:)
