I tried to reproduce this myself in our test QB instance, but it does not allow me to save a customer record without "Name". Is this a constraint that can be turned off in QB?

As for screen shots, I cannot figure out how to attach a jpg file to a post in this Forums app. Can you either tell me how to do it or give me an email address I can send the screenshots to as attachements?

Dear Method,

We have someone building an integration between our QB instance and a web store site. When this integration creates new customers in QB via the integration, it does not populate either the Company Name nor the First/Last Name fields in the QB Customer record. Instead, it puts the customers First and Last names (with separating space) as the first line in the Bill-to address. We can still then see that name in the QB customer list, but I am wondering if that will cause a problem when I sync these QB customers with Method. Will I still be able to see a Customer Name in Method for QB customers who only have their name in the first line of the bill-to address?

Edit Multiple Activities

Hello,

I haven't been able to find another post on this issue after a cursory search, but I apologize if I missed it.

I'm trying to edit a field on multiple activities. Is there a more efficient way to do this than changing each activity individually?

Error in custom Activity grid screen

Dear Method Folks:

We are experiencing an unusual problem with one of our users (userid = Dagmar). Here is the scoop:

I have created a custom screen to show activities. The screen consists of a grid (covering the whole width of the screen) with a section below that showing detail for whichever activity in the grid is selected. I have also created various filters to be selectable for the grid. This is the first screen which opens for our users when they signin to Method.
The actions and screen rendering of this custom screen works perfectly fine for 3 of our four users. It is only a problem with user = Dagmar
For user = Dagmar, the activity detail section on this custom screen is not rendered BELOW the grid. Instead, it is rendered in a cell on the last row of the grid. Also, when this user tries to view the grid using any other filter, she gets the error message: "There were problems generating a request for the grid. Please reload the page. If that does not solve the issue, re-publish the page. If you continue to see this message, please contact the Method Staff."

This problem is making it impossible for this one user to do her daily work of tracking customers in Method, so a prompt resolution would be important.

I am trying to import data into the Activity table, including data for the CreatedDate field. No matter how I try to format the datetime data in the CreatedDate column in my CSV file, the data is imported without error, but when I go into the Activity screen in method to look at it, I get an "invalid data format" error popup. I can click out of the popup and then view the Activity screen, but this is very annoying.

How can I format the datetime data in my CSV import file so that data I import for the CreatedDate field does not cause this annoying popup error to occur?

Hi Amanda,

I successfully sent e-mails via Customer List for all five customers separately, so all of the e-mail addresses are fine in that respect. But I still get the same error when I try to send it to all five at once from List Builder. So I need another suggestion.

Error trying to import data into the Activity table

I am receiving the following error message when I try to upload data from a CSV file into my Activity table: ERROR:Access to the path '.............................langenscheidteducationalservices_Gregory_importSQLTableFields.xml' is denied.

I have verified that my userid is set up with all possible permissions, and I was able to get past this point in the import process previously under the same account. Here is the sequence of events that led to this:

I tried to import data to the Activity table prior to this and was able to go all the way through the column mapping wizard. But when I got to the final import button, I received the error that the values I had entered for ActivityType were incorrect.
I edited the values for ActivityType in my CSV file, then tried to import again. That is when I first got the above error message. All subsequent attempts return the same error message.

It looks to me as if Method has permanently locked me out of being able to insert rows in these db tables. That should not be the result of a failed attempt. What's wrong?

Multiple Ship To addresses in Quickbooks

Can I somehow have the multiple ship-to addresses that I have for some customers in Quickbooks synced over into Method Integration and have them available in MI for me to use?
