To provide background, my sales rep starts by creating an invoice. He hits save but no invoice number populates the field. Thus, when he goes to print his invoice there is no invoice # making it silly for the customer and for us to associate future payments with a blank invoice number.

I would look into this further guys.

Create new item in PO screen

Hi Guys,

Question: When my sales guys are entering items on the PO screen all is fine and dandy. However, if they begin typing an item that doesn't exist in inventory, there is no pop-up to create a new item. Is there a way to add this functionality, so that if an item is not found in inventory then a pop-up comes up asking to create it? Quickbooks presently does this and it helps a long way in having to avoid switching screens all the time.

Cheers,

After much after-thought and re-consideration, I've recently rejoined Method and am excited to come back to the community. That being said, I think I may have found a bug.

I have an Inventory Group item that is enabled to print the list of items. However, when I select the parent group item in the invoice screen it does not auto-populate the invoice lines with its child items. If I save the invoice and then return to it afterwards, then the child items are listed. Usually, I need to make these changes before the fact, rather than after. This is very frustrating to say the least.

Is this a bug? I can't function my business without this feature working properly and it would be a serious deal-breaker if it couldn't.

Thanks,

More specifically, my rows get cut off when there is text that runs bigger than the width of the cell. The extra info / lines underneath are hidden in IE.

The problem cannot be replicated in Firefox. See screenshots below:

IE:

Firefox:

Note: I did try playing with the row height property for the grid, to no avail.

Re: Invoice Quantity Field Disappears?

That's great news. Glad to be of help!

By all means, please eat lunch. I am running Method during my trial now and am still testing it.

I have another bug I'd like to report. I guess I'll start another thread? It seems to be another incompatibility issue between Firefox and IE.

Thanks,

I'm new to method. When I try to create an invoice, the quantity, rate, %, amount fields disappear in the item list. What am I doing wrong or have I missed part of the setup?

The screen you are trying to load cannot be found. You may have to refresh the tab links. If you continue to receive this message then verify your screen exists for this Tab Link. Go to Customize > Tabs. Select 'Edit Tab Links' for this Tab and then verify the screen is assigned to this Tab Link. If it is not, then delete the Tab Link and add it again with the desired screen.

I've done everything instructed in this and the errors are still arising?
