I can create estimates and sales orders, but for some reason invoices are not working.

The conflict error (with personal info removed):

QuickBooks returned an error when adding/modifying a accInvoice record. The error was: Object "8000003E-1298053553" specified in the request cannot be found. .
Although the payment shows up in Existing Payments, it is not applied to the invoice and does not show up in Quickbooks. I then get a conflict error.

Re: How do you change the email address in web form emails?

Hi Victor,

I just realized the fix isn't working. On my form setup the "From" email address is changed and is what is should be, however the emails the form sends out are still donotreply@methodintegration.com

Thanks,

QR codes are big in Japan, and are beginning to pop up here more and more. I currently have a QR code on my website, so that potential customers can scan the code on their screen with their smart phone. Once they do so, my contact info is automatically entered into their phone.

Today I added a button to my customer screen enabling me to print a customer profile label, that I can quickly print and stick on a file folder for my customer notes. Then I had an idea - it would be really cool if I could include a QR code on that label that would link to the customer profile in method. Let's say I have a customer file in front of me and I'm leaving for an appointment.. I could scan their code on my phone and it would load their address so that I could map it, or possibly automatically map itself.

If QR codes can be incorporated into method they would open up so many new ways to automate paperwork.

Of course, Method would have to have the capability to produce the codes, which my or may not be a pipedream. Could this ever be a possibility??

Re: Equpiment Maintenance App

Great idea John. I'd definately be interested in this.

I was planning to work on a budget app, which would calculate your company budget for the year, and work labour burden, overhead, etc. into estimates and sales orders. It would also show forecast vs. actual at the end of the fiscal year. I believe this would be a great tool for all us landscapers, and others as well.

I'd love to see what you're working on as it progresses, and provide some feedback. I'd also like someone to try what I'm doing as well.

Unfortunately, business is picking up for me and I likely won't have what I want for another 6 months or so.

Keep us updated, and if you're interested I will keep you updated as well.

Multi-line Item Descriptions

Some of my Items have multi-line descriptions (with 'bullets'). Unlike QB, Method allows me to do this. :)

Unfortunately, when I load these items into an estimate or sales order, the descriptions get condensed into one line.

If I manually edit the description in my estimate or sales order, I can restore the multiple description lines. These lines will then be saved, and appear as I would like them to when I print my estimate or sales order.

Is there any way this can be fixed, or is it possible for me to patch this on my end with an SQL override in the grid?

Thanks,

If anyone else wants to do this, enter this script into a Before Print script window:

If xrItemAmount.Text = "$0.00" Then xrItemAmount.Text = "included"

Keep in mind, this example is for the ItemAmount field. Also, the script will not work if you actually put it into the ItemAmount field script itself. It has to be in another field. It seems that fields won't edit themselves, but will edit others.

I'm not sure why it fixed the problem, but it did.

The sample template has the logo and header information in the 'GroupHeader1' band. I created a 'PageHeader' band at the top of the page, copied the GroupHeader1 data into it, and reduced the size of the GroupHeader1 band to nothing.

Could this be a problem with how the original sample estimate template was set up??
