Yes, after pressing the payment process button, the error appears. the card charge still goes through, but the error prevents the approval message and redirect to the home page actions from processing. and I don't receive the payment email notification.

I checked the email preferences and it appears that the email is correct.

Thank you for that instruction. I was able to set the conditional statement and show a message. Now however I have an error showing "Invalid email address format for from email address"

I can't seem to find where in my settings I have the email address that notifications are sent from. How do I check that the format is correct?

I have just noticed that my customized, contacts portal payment screen does not have a pop up notification that indicates to the customer that the payment has been processed and approved. this lack of a notifying pop up causes customers to submit the payment multiple times.

can you direct me to the process of inserting an action that will pop up a notification box indicating that the card has been successfully charged and a redirect to a previous screen. I checked methods standard payment screen and it appears there is not an action of this type there.

Thanks for the reply Justin. However I was able to solve the issue. I was missing a FALSE action in a "type in" field within a conditional warning. Which was causing an error message to pop up. Since I made the correction the credit card field now recognizes digits and is working properly.

Justin,

I spoke with a tech support rep and determined the problem is that somehow the action on my submit button that is supossed to check if there are enough digits for a valid card has been deleted.

My question then is; what action needs to be added to the button to check that the right amount of digits has been entered for a valid card number? ie. no less than 14 or no more than 16 etc.

HI Justin,

I had a member of your team build it. I think based off the "Edit Profile or billing info" thought. The project was to create a place where customers could enroll in our autopay program by entering the credit card info and checking the check box to authorize automatic credit card charges. It has worked for 18 months until just in the last week it failed.

Judging by your response its sounds like that may not have been the right process?

Valid Credit Card Number Error

HI Method team,

I am getting feedback from customers that through our contacts portal on the edit_profile screen the credit card field will not accept credit card numbers. A screen error indicates "please enter a valid credit card number"

I have checked the actions regarding the allowed number of digits and everything appears fine. I'm not sure where else to look. Can you direct me to other actions or check points that I can look in to in order to solve the error?

Generate Report Action Questions

Hi Method,

I am having difficulty getting data to populate into the invoice template when generating a report.

I have a contacts portal set up and am using a transactions table to show and view invoices. when the "View" link is selected the correct invoice report is generated but the invoice data is missing.

When I click the "Print Preview" button on the Customers Tab-Invoices link, the report and associated data is generated correctly. I have duplicated the actions for the portal "Print Preview" button but can't identify the reason for the report not generating the data.

Your help is much appreciated.

View Estimate Button

Hi Method,

I'm having trouble getting the "view" button in the estimate grid to populate data into the PDF template. is there a bottun I can copy that will get the record ID, filter for an individual and generate the report into the template. I am pretty sure I am using all the right fields , but non of the data wants to appear.

Updating Field Issues

Hi Method,

I am having a few issues with the save buttons on Edit Profile screens.

I need to add several fields that are not on the default "ContactsPortal_EditProfile screen. I have most of it working properly. However, (1) the screen creates a new contact, syncs it into QB but doesn't update the original. (2) it does not sync/update into quickbooks. (3) fields don't populate into the email template, even though I have edited that as well.

The data that is mostly missing are the credit card fields; Contacts.NameOnCard, Contacts.PaymentMethod,

What functions need to be changed to fix this?
