Method Issues?

Is Method having issues right now? I can't seem to log into my account. When I click the Sign In button nothing happens. It doesn't tell me I have the wrong password or anything, literally nothing happens. I tried accessing my account from two different computers on two seperate networks.

July Version Errror

One of our screens is working properly in the June version, but not in the July version. We load a users username into a hidden textbox, then we use that hidden textbox for filtering in our dropdown boxes. So, for example: We have a customer dropdown box that allows our users to choose which customer to assign their time to. For obvious reasons, we only want our users to see the customers that they are assigned to, so we added a column in the customer's table called "Assigned Users", this is basically a concatonated field of usernames so it looks like "jsmith,jdoe" if we wanted both John Smith and John Doe to have access to that customer. So in the customer dropdown we filter for 2 things: 1) isActive = yes 2)"AssignedUsers" contains screen.username. (username is the name of the textbox). Currently we are getting an error in the July version that says:

"ERROR: It appears the screen is currently out of sync. Please try logging out and back in to Method. If this is a custom screen, you can alternatively republish. If the problem persists, please contact your administrator"

So, I obviously tried republishing the screen, which didn't work, then I tried removing all action sequences in the "Load" and "TextChanged" event for the customer dropdown... that didn't work either. Finally I figured out that the reference to the username textbox wasn't working properly. I replaced this with a hardcoded username and it worked properly... I tried removing the filter and re-adding it to the dropdown and that didn't fix it... Finally I created a shared action result and referenced that and it seems to work.

Ultimately I just wanted to inform you that there seems to be a bug in the July version... Sorry for the long-winded post.

Email issue

We are using the activity table to send out automatic notification emails when the Due Date is past. I put in our email credentials in the "My Account" tab link. After clicking the "Save and Send Test Email" I received a succesful email:

Email Settings Test Successful!

This email has been sent to test the settings you entered for your XXXXX email server. No action is required by you - this email concludes the test.

So, then I created a test activity to test whether or not the emails will work in the real world, and I received an error notification:

Tips:

If some emails are working and some are not working, chances are you are using a bad email address. Ensure the sender email address is permitted to send through this email server, and that the 'To' email address is valid.
If you are sending email with SSL, try going to Customize > My Account > Default Email Preferences and changing the port to 587. If that doesn't work, try 465. Most SSL servers support one or the other.
If you are sending email with SSL, make sure your email server truly supports it. Try going to Customize > My Account > Default Email Preferences and changing the SSL on and off to see what is permitted.

Any update on this? Have you been able to replicate on your side? It affects all of our portals.

I don't believe this was ever working properly in portals, it does work properly in Method Full Blown.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it would have to be after the override action right? Otherwise the screen doesn't know that the user has the rights to see all data?

Portal Grid Refreshing

We use portals for our users to enter time into the timetracking table. When users enter in method full blown, the grids refresh as expected with the action sequences. When viewing these same screens in portal view, the grids do not refresh as expected. When users first log in all grids are blank and show no data, however after pressing a refresh button (which runs the same refresh grid action as we run in the onLoad event) data appears in the grid. Please note we are using the "override filter by active record id" action in the on load event as well (however we are using it prior to refreshing the grids).

It is not showing up in chrome, unfortunately I don't have FF installed, so I can't test at the moment.
