The screen is the 'Batching' tab link under the 'Customer Center' tab. The default view filter is 'Today's Invoices' which shows the daily activity, so I would change the view filter to 'Default' and select to show the TxnDate column so you can view a day with a large number of line detail rows (10/6/11 has 1625 rows in the 'Invoice Detail' grid). The second grid on this screen shows the invoice header information.

Thanks for your help.

'Select All' Checkbox

Hi All -

exports the daily invoice line detail from a grid that is triggered by clicking
on a button that only exports only selected rows in the grid. The workaround to
not having a ‘select all’ checkbox that applies to multiple pages of checkboxes
on a grid is to specify the maximum 200 rows displayed by default and use the
“+” sign to increase the rows and check ‘select all’ on the top of each page. I
am curious if there is work being done to aspects of the Method platform that
would affect this workaround because I have had trouble with it in the past 3
weeks.

had to export our daily invoice line detail and we had 1600 line items, I had
no problem increasing the number of rows to 200 and checking the ‘select all’
button on all 8 pages. Recently, I have been able to select all of the line
items for the first 2 or 3 pages and then once I try to select all of the
checkboxes on pages 4-8 there are some line items that are already checked. It
seems that the rows in the grid are shifting as I navigate to the next page
because the last few rows are sometimes checked off when I haven’t even been on
that page to ‘select all.’ My export button is set to export only the selected
line items (in the event that I do not want to export every row from that day’s
orders) but I will only have about 1400-1520 rows in my spreadsheet upon exporting
when I should have 1600 – the shift in rows as I navigate pages makes it
impossible to actually select all of the checkboxes and usually a handful of line
items are missing. Have you heard of this problem before? Please let me
know if this is something that is in the process of being fixed because the
export of every line item is critical to fulfilling our customer’s orders.

In 2010, I had a custom screen built out that exports our customer data. One
of the fields is ‘YTD Sales’ that has the following SQL override code to pull
each customer’s YTD sales:

SELECT
Cast(ROUND(Sum(Amount),2) as decimal(9,2))

FROM viewaccInvoice WHERE
viewaccInvoice.Customer = viewaccEntity.FullName AND viewaccInvoice.TxnDate
> cast(year(getdate()) -1 as varchar(4)) + '/12/31' and
viewaccInvoice.TxnDate < cast(year(getdate()) + 1 as varchar(4)) + '/01/01'

I have never had a problem with this grid before, but today this
field is not calculating YTD sales. Every Tuesday I export this grid and send
the data to our IT company; last week I didn’t have any problems and I haven’t
changed anything on the screen. Only a few customers show sales in this field,
all of them have a ‘last invoice date’ of 8/26/11-8/30/11 and their YTD sales
are not ‘YTD’, it is just the total of their order that was invoiced in the
past week. Is there an explanation for why this field would start to calculate 'week to date' sales? I
need to send this file before the end of the day, so any help/suggestions is
appreciated.

Sorry for the delayed response. After watching the webinar, I have been trying to think through the potential problems of using the SQL override that you suggested above. In the event that the field 'ImportSKU' is blank for an item that is not the subtotal line (ie. if someone accidentally leaves the importSKU field blank on an invoice in QB for 'item A'), I do not want to take the chance of having 'Subtotal' automatically generated to all blank fields. Is there a way for me to loop through my grid and use a set of actions that would enter the word 'Subtotal' into the 'ImportSKU' field IF the 'Item' field from that row = 'Subtotal'. (Possibly a character function?)

Let me know if that makes sense. Thanks for all of your help!

No, I did not have to link it. The custom field was already listed as a field in the 'InvoiceLine' table (I do not have the option to delete it either). So, the data is automatically populated next to the quantity and amount for each item on the invoices.

Thanks,
