Things are still not as they were. I'm watching items disappear out of a SR line grid when I push the save button. It’s a custom screen with various functions for validation, etc so figuring out what''s creating the issue takes time on my part, time that I simply do not have this week. Nothing has changed on our end for months/years; and clearly, things have on the Method side.

Method as company has to realize that it adversely affects businesses when the platform/app doesn’t work as intended and customers always remember that. I can’t effectively run my business, nor can my clients run theirs, if we are relying on unreliable IT partners/infrastructure. I stopped selling Method a year and half ago because I could see these problems coming a mile away as you guys focus on someday moving to New Method. All I can say is good companies strive to be customer centric, bad ones never realize they’re egocentric. Which one is Method?

I had a client complaining to me late today about not being able to do anything in Method because everytime he saves something, he's getting these system messages (in yellow) at top of the screeen saying "Processing XYZ records from a total of 9,567". All his screens are custom screens and nothing has changed on our side for months/years. I saw that Method was doing an update this week so clearly it's affecting a function. I didn't dig into this any deeper than checking the number of records in the assoicated table for the screeen and noticed that they matched exactly with the message for the total number to be process; i.e. it's running through every record of a table, everytime, thus Method is clearly broken right now. In this specific case, the table involved was the SaleRecieptLine table.

Receive Payments

After the last week's platform undate, the logic behind syncing recieved payments table with QB desktop has changed. Regardless of whether auto payment or wait for sync approvals is checked or not, Method will sync a recieved payment with QB as auto apply even when "waiting for sync approval" is selected. This has broken several of my custom screens that have been running without any change for years.

Disregard my last post, it’s now working, but just intermittently slow; ie sometimes takes minutes or times seconds.

The workaround site generally works; however, the printing function (generate report) is not working at all. It take about two minute for either an error message to come up or the waiting icon / any dialog boxes to just disappear.

Generate Report Doesn't Work / Turn On Old Aug/Sept Version

On 10/31 Method released an update that created problems with the Generate Report function. At the time my client reported the problem to me, I didn’t realize there was a Method update so spent time looking into it. Once I figured out that the Generate Report function wouldn’t work at all with certain tables, I also noticed Method had released a new version so switching back to the old August/September version immediately fixed the problem.

Over the past month, I’ve received several communications from Method regarding the latest update and indications that the Generate Report function was a “work-in-progress”. All fine, except yesterday the option to log into the August / September version was suddenly stopped and once again without notice. I guess that would be fine if all the bugs were fixed, however they’re not and the Generate Report action doesn’t work at all for certain tables. For my client, this is completely shutting off his ability to produce a custom purchase receipt that he’s required to do by law and print checks; i.e. mission critical business functions. Can you please turn on the August/Sept version while you continue to work on fixing the Generate Report action so that it works with at least the Check and Bill tables? Thanks.

I've got a client complaining to me this morning that Method is running "exceptionally slow” and it’s taking a very long time to produce PDF files. I used their account yesterday to produce a PDF file and it took close to a minute, where normally it takes around 15-28 seconds. I’ve been doing customization work on my account today and haven’t noticed anything.

Well it didn't update the screens. I've log-in and out several times since Sunday, including closing all the browers. Both the Bill and BillPayment screens are listed as "Method CRM Pro for QB Desktop"; however, the last modified dates are 09/29/09 and 10/01/09, respectively. If these screens haven't been updated, it makes me question as to what else didn't update. If you contact me with an email address, I will give you the account so you can see for yourself. I've fixed the problem with the Billpayment screen so that not a pressing issue at the moment but need to ensure that I have the most current screens for this account. Thanks.

I upgraded my client to the new Method CRM from the old Remote verison this week. However, the Billpayment Screen did not update. The account still shows the Billpayment screen as version 10/2009. Why are the updates not showing up? Also, I don't see the January / Feburary verson choices when I log-in so I'm not sure which version I'm using. Since this update took place in Feburary, if for some reason I was log-in to the January version that would make sense. Please advise as to what's going on here.

I've got a client getting the same error message "The action: Show Message must be followed by Stop Process....". I've logged into the account (Feb version) and noticed that the BillPayment screen has not been updated since 2009. This is also true in my demo account for this screen. However, in my CRM Full Blown account, this screen was updated with this new fix. Both my demo account and the client's account are on the old Method accounts; i.e. never upgraded. Are changes / fixes not being sent out to these old accounts even if they apply to the old screens?

Further, I tried changing the code in the old accounts to add the Stop Processing action after the message box, just as it was done in the BillPayment screen within my Full Blow account. I got the same error message so I'm assuming other things were changed?
