Hello,

Can you please provide me with step by step information on how to encrypt and decrypt data. I want the credit card information to be encrypted when the data is entered into method and want it to show as encrypted when data entry workers/ sales reps/ etc users are viewing customer information. And I want it decrypted when Administrators are viewing customer information. I want it encrypted showing only the last 4 digits or the credit card number (ex ************9086).

I discovered how to create an action, but it's still not clear to me. I've gotten to the point where when you enter the credit card information into the field, it encrypts is as a bunch of characters.

Duplicate Contacts

After synchronizing Method with QB, there are several duplicate contacts. For every job in qb, method creates a contact. Is there any way to fix this so that the jobs collapse under the main contact?

Ok, thanks much. I will wait until that plug-in becomes available, because we do not currently use Outlook.

I am looking to track each customer's emails in Method. Our clients send emails for quotes, orders, complaints etc, and I want to track them all in one place. Sometimes they send emails regarding the same issue to several employees and it would be good for everyone to see all the communication that takes place. Or sometimes, a customer will communicate with one employee and then that employee is absent, and no one knows what communication took place between that employee and that customer.

Makes sense?

Please let me know if I have this straight, because I am a bit confused.

I am going to use Google Apps Sync because my company currently uses gmail and I want to sync gmail with Method???

Google apps sync will synchronize my gmail with Outlook, which will allow me to synchronize my email with Method???

That's the thing. I am importing it. I tried it as a csv file as well as txt file.

Hello I am getting the following error while attempting to update my customer contact list. Please help.

ERROR:The CSV appears to be corrupt near record '16' field '108 at position '991'

TIP: Your delimited data could not be understood. This is probably caused by an uneven amount of delimiters in each line. For instance, if line 1 has 15 commas, all of the following lines must have 15 commas too. If you have delimiters inside double quotation marks, however, they will be ignored.

For example, the following will fail, since it will be interpreted as have 1 delimiter (comma) in the first two lines, and 2 delimiters (commas) in the third line.
Name,Phone
Natalie Chapman,555-111-3456
Crenshaw,Bob,555-555-1212

This however will succeed, since there is an equal amount of delimiters (commas) per line.
Name,Phone
Natalie Chapman,555-111-3456
Bob Crenshaw,555-555-1212

This will also succeed, since “Crenshaw, Bob” is surrounded by double quotation marks:
Name,Phone
Natalie Chapman,555-111-3456
“Crenshaw,Bob”,555-555-1212
