Method is running extremely slow lately, is anyone else experiencing this issue?

I'm not experiencing this bad performance elsewhere, so it's unlikely that it is my connection.

Attach Document to Email

I am trying to attach a document from the document library to an email, but I must be missing something. (And probably a simple something. :) )

How do I get a FileAttachment location into an Action Result so that I can attach it to the email?

I tried to Retrieve from Table the "Document" File Attachment field and using that as the "Attachment Location" but that did not work.

Help is greatly appreciated.

Paul - Thanks for the outline of how that works.

I'm a little disappointed that what I'm trying to do isn't supported. It doesn't seem very "out of the ordinary".

The problem with just letting users login is that the majority of my technicians are contractors who might use the platform only a couple of times per week. I can't justify the $40/month charge for such little usage. Additionally, I have over 50 contractors - So even with the shared licensing, that is still roughly $800/month, which is cost prohibitive. I might only need 3-5 consecutively logged in accounts at one time and your current pricing structure does not allow for that.

I guess I will just have to build something more suitable off the Method API, but that was not something I really wanted to do at this time.

Screen shows up ok while "Viewing".

It is supposed to be a mobile-optimized page. (The portal is for my field techs to view their work orders.)

I unchecked optimize for mobile and it started working, but now that I've re-checked optimize for mobile to confirm that was the problem, I still see the non-optimized version of the page.

Method,

I just created a new portal, following this link: http://www.methodintegration.com/method/kb.aspx?folder=methodcrm&article=Setup-your-Portal&id=81

When logging in, I am presented with:

We were unable to resolve your request. Either the screen you are trying to access does not exist, or there was a problem with your request.

Recommended actions:

If the screen has been replaced or republished by another user of your system. Please try signing out and signing back in.
If this issue persists, go to Customize > Tab Links, and make sure the Tab Link is correct for this screen.
Try closing and reopening your browser.

I have tried all of the recommended actions and still the same error persists. There is no further indication of what the problem actually is. (Would be nice to see the same Method error screen that is shown when there is an error within Actions.)

Assistance is greatly appreciated.

Intuit Merchant Services - eChecks

Does Method currently support eChecks through an Intuit Merchant Services gateway? If so, could you please provide some feedback on how to turn this on in the Contacts portal? I see the fields there and that it does check if a particular gateway is eCheck, but can't figure out much more than that.

Ok - So I figured out the Notes. A new table, a textbox, button, grid, and a whole bunch of actions and I got what I needed.

I am still having trouble trying to get the Record ID for Work Orders to start at a higher value. Can anyone provide some insight?

Field Services Questions

Just signed up for the Field Services module and had a couple of questions:

1) How can I add a "Notes" section to the Add/Edit Work Order screen? I see that I can create tables and such, but how would I go about creating a table where a user had a free text entry for a note, but also tracked the user name of the logged in user and a current timestamp?

2) How can I change the starting activity number? I would like to have this number start close to our current work order number so we don't go backwards and have duplicate numbers from years past.

All help is greatly appreciated!
