RecordID 394 stuck in Invoice table purgatory.

MethodAPI response = "Save Warning: The invoice is not ready to send to QuickBooks. The RecordID 394 does not exist."

to a MethodAPIDeleteV2 call (via HTTP POST) with parameters:

strCompanyAccount=***&strLogin=***&strPassword=***&strSessionID=&strTable=Invoice&intRecordID=394

I reproduced this via (the uber helpful) page https://www.methodintegration.com/MethodAPI/service.asmx?op=MethodAPIDeleteV2.

This is a left-over record in the Invoice table from an aborted insertion (due to an ephemeral MethodAPI-down event). I have successfully deleted the left-over InvoiceLine record(s), but cannot delete the Invoice record.

A MethodAPISelect_XMLV2 call confirms that RecordID 394 exists. So this error message is doubly strange.

On a whim I called MethodAPIActionSendToDesktopV2 (never got to that point during the original insert) which succeeded, but the delete still failed with the above message. The record will not go through the sync engine to QuickBooks either. No conflicts to resolve on the Method CRM console.

Urgent help appreciated, order(s) held up.

Thanks for the speculation, Danny.

When I use MethodAPI to insert invoices, these items are showing up with "Unspecified Site" in the Site column in QuickBooks.

It seems that I can remove that column by:

Edit | Preferences | Items & Inventory | Company Preferences | Advanced Inventory Settings

and unchecking the box

[ ] Multiple Inventory Sites is enabled

My QuickBooks Enterprise Version 12.0 has a column on the invoice page called "Site". It's a drop-down with 5 settings in my (already well-used) database. Those same five settings also appear under Lists | Inventory Site List.

But where's the corresponding Table in the MethodAPI Table List? And where's the field in the Invoice table?

P.S. it's awesome how everything else on the Invoice form has an obvious field or table. This is the only one missing as far as I can tell.

Good show. And good clarification, Paul. When using MethodAPI via POST, I pass the values on the right sides of '=' signs through the PHP function urlencode().

Slightly off-topic, don't forget to prefix quotes with slashes if comparing arbitrary strings. I'm guessing that applies to .NET or any language.

OpenOffice 3.1.1 with example?

Anyone try to get the MethodAPISample_GetTablesFields.xls example to work with OpenOffice? After enabling macros the [Get Tabl...] button gives the error

"OpenOffice.org Error ... A Scripting Framework error occurred ... Basic script could not be found: ... butGetTableList_Click"

I figure I already know the answer, that this requires Microsoft Office Excel, but thought I'd ask...
