importing data changed my characters

can I do a find and replace to correct this? I have wines with french names and i need those special characters in my item description.

Can I change the format of a field I added?

I set up a field 'packsize' and set it as text. then I imported the data and figured out it should be numberic so I can do math against it. Can I change the field type at this point? ifnot how do I correct this? canI setup new field and copy the data from one to the other?

Report Designer report not showing in Method CRM

I am working on a Price List/Master Item list. I have the report mostly complete but cannot find it in Method or a way to see all the records to test the data further. How do i get this report to show in Method under a tab - Activities is the preferred tab but at this point I'd take any tab. I am using iteminventory data with no other drop down.

I have this same question however I don't see the 'home' screen or the 'items' tab - where should I be looking?

Estimate Search by Number limited

I am working on finding Estimates and generating current status's in Method. I can only see/search the last few weeks. As a company working in new construction the date of the estimate can be months out. The Estimate is the work order for our company and I am not total certain how they differ in Method but I digress. When I search for an estimate number earlier than the last few weeks it is not finding it.

Is there a setting that I need to change? or can you help me understand why this would not be found. The estimate # is in QB and the job does appear in Method but not the estimate.

Try doing a database rebuild. it sounds like an index is a little confused. It is under FILE UTILITIES then REBUILD DATA. it will require a backup and if the database is very large it could take hours but it is well worth it in improved performance and removing these issues.

New Campaign - New form needed

We are moving into the Medical Alert market. there is a form that the coach gave us to have in front of us to complete while on the phone with the customer. this information is 90% in quickbooks. I know I can use the fields in the CRM area and make most of the form online so it can be entered only once and there wont be hand writing issues. Can I add fields that are needed for the central station but we don't need here and are not part of quickbooks? And - can that completed form be printed to PDF so I can 'attach' it to that customer record in QB as well as e-mail it to the central station?

WHEW! a lot i know but it would working so much smarter and not harder if this could work.

scheduling - can I prevent step three from being accessed until step 2 is done?

I have all the data I need in QuickBooks to feed a scheduler. I know I can put the rough in of the job and the trim of the job on the calendar but I need to stop the trim from having access until the rough in is complete. I'd like to be able to see what is needed to be done on the schedule or what point is the task at by looking at a report that would show - oops accounting has not billed for that rough in so the trim cannot be scheduled.

is that an option?
