That certainly works, but there is no control over the format of the report or the page setup. Exporting to Excel is a better option.

However, filtering an existing report would be BEST.

I have a custom grid that lists items owned by customers. Columns include Customer, Manufacturer, Model Number, Serial Number, and Expiration Date.

A single customer may own several different items that all expire on different dates. Other customers may own the same items with their own expiration dates.

I understand that Report Designer is based on tables, and this grid is based on a table. What I would like to do is create a report that, for example, shows all items that will expire in December 2013 (or any other month). I can filter the grid to show this, but how do I create a report to show the same information?

I have already created a report that will give me all of the data I need, I just can't seem to figure out the final filtering step.

Estimate ---> Customer PO ---> Sales Order ---> Invoice ---> Customer Payment

                                        ---> Our PO ---> Vendor Bill ---> Our payment to Vendor

Campaigns = Marketing Efforts

Opportunity = Potential Revenue

Case = Problems/issues/requests/billing issues, etc. ---> Solutions= Knowledge Base

Activity = Any action (phone call, email, letter, etc) associated with a Campaign, Opportunity, Case or Activity

Here is where I get lost: 1) A customer calls one of our technicians to have some work done; 2) Our tech opens a case, and performs the work. This case now needs to be invoiced, but I can't seem to find how we turn that case into a work order or how that all flows. Is there an automated work flow from first phone call to invoice?

Thanks.

It is loosely based on the existing CustomerEquipment table in Method. We have customers who purchase several of the exact same number where the only information in the record that changes is the serial number (and sometimes those vary by only a single digit). What I would like to do is enter in item 1, save that record but not clear the screen, edit the information as it relates to item 2, and save as a new record, and so on.

I have already figured out how to do this for very large lists via the import function, but was hoping there was a quick-fix via a button to do it for shorter lists and/or new lists.

Start Conditional Statement – This looks at the “Manufacturer” field on my screen in order to retrieve a document unique to the manufacturer shown.

          Retrieve Value From Table –

1. Where will the value be retrieved from?

From Table: DocumentLibrary

From Field: Document

2. Criteria: How will this record be located?

Where Field: Document

value is: Action Result (next line is blank)

If multiple results: Retrieve First

3. Result: How do you want to use the resulting value?

Place value in: Action Result = blank

Load Web Page

          Target          New Browser Window

          Enter URL Type in (Next line has download link for document)

End Conditional Statement
