It is a big pain for us that there is no way to insert a line in an invoice in between two existing lines. Currently, if you want to add an item to an estimate or invoice after you already have several in there, you just have to add it at the bottom. This doesn't work well for the way we bill things. If there is a way to do this that I have missed, please let me know. Otherwise, can this be put on the development list?

Re: Inserting line items in estimates and invoices

I would like this ability as well!

Re: Viewing multiple Calendars in the Dashboard
We can certainly understand the pain in having to select the same users (or other filter options) each and every time you log in. Great ideas we’ll be sure to bring up in our meetings and keep you posted along the way.
So here we are over 3 years later, and it looks like this issue still hasn't been addressed. I am having the same issue with having to select the people I want to see on the calendar each and every time I log in. I'm trying to customize the screen to fix this, but it still only allows me to select one User as a Resource. And I do not want them all to be in separate columns like the previous poster, I like the separate columns for scheduling purposes. Is there any update on this?

Re: How to attach a PDF file to email in Estimates and sales order
If you’re set on emailing the PDF attachment, it’s easy! You would just use a Generate Report action, immediately followed by a Send Email action to send the PDF. If you have Method Full Blown Edition, you can reverse engineer how Work Orders are emailed in Method Field Services to see how that happens.
I don't mean the templates for estimates that are used to print them out, I have no problem customizing those.

What I would like to do is save a pre-filled selection of job items and descriptions into an estimate, so that I would not have to recreate a similar estimate over and over again for each customer. I have previously used Memorized Transactions in Quickbooks to do this, but I was hoping it would be possible in Method. So far the problem I am running into is that you cannot save default info into grid fields that aren't read-only.

What do you think?

Re: Question regarding templates
Essentially what you have to do is first create a drop down in a customized screen based on the "Estimate" screen, that pulls values from the ReportMethod (list of reports) table with a filter that only shows those values with the word "estimate" in it.

Lastly you would create a button (or modify the existing "print / preview" button) that would print the report as opposed to the default table.
I am trying to do this same thing, create templates for my estimates. I followed these instructions and I was able to create the dropdown and reference the ReportMethod table. What I am having trouble with is the action and/or button. When I select a template from the dropdown, I want it to fill the data into the screen. Then I want to be able to edit the estimate for final touches, add the customer, etc., and then save it as a new estimate for that customer. Then I would print or email it from that point. What dropbox actions and/or button(s) do I need to add to make this happen?
