We have a new Method user who has been challenged by the search function. When she can't find a customer or lead, she enters it again. Either that or she creates a new record in Quickbooks rather than looking for the existing record in Method. We're getting quite proficient at merging customers in Quickbooks, which is fine, but the existing activities keep getting deleted. Any ideas on how to avoid losing the history?

Thanks!

Deleting multiple activities

Hi all,

Usually I work my way around Method with no problem, then sometimes I'm thrown.

One of our users created a recurring activity with neither a contact nor an end date. Evidently we need to offer more training!

That being said, I now have 750 "not started" activities that run until 2030. Any tips on getting rid of those excess activities? Many thanks.

Connection Tickets Unavailable through Intuit

Hi all,

I wanted to report that there is an issue when trying to connect Method Payment Gateway to Intuit Merchant Services.

Intuit is currently not able to generate the Connection Ticket that is required to complete the process. They are aware of the issue and are working on it.

Oh, and they are _very sorry_ for the inconvenience.

Using a call centre

Hi everyone,

We've recently signed an agreement with an agency to do some outbound calling. They tell me that they have used Method before, so I plan to set them up as a user.

The project we have on the go is to sell a course that we're offering. We would like the call centre to call a set of leads (that are in the general geographical area), and book them in the course.

I was thinking of setting up a campaign to select the leads we want to approach. Is that the easiest way? Sometimes I spend SO much time messing around with importing and exporting data from Method, I wonder if we should go back to using autofilter in an Excel spreadsheet!

Thanks,

Bonnie

I've been using Method for close to 3 years now, and given the fact that we're a lean and busy organization, there's still so much that I haven't learned. I've just joined this forum because I now need Method to do more for me.

Here is my problem, and I hope someone can steer me in the right direction.

We have a client who hasn't ordered since last September, and although we've been contacting her (9 contacts since September, documented in Method), we didn't realize she hadn't been ordering.

What can we do to stay on top of this? We have clients who order with different frequencies, so a simple graph won't work. Any ideas on what to export? I can do lots of things in Excel if I know what to track.

I realize this is a fairly broad question, and a broad answer will be enough to point me to the right place.

Thanks!
