I am looking to do something similar. I have considered an outside end point that interacts with the Method API. We use RingCentral as a phone system and may be able to use their CTI (softphone) product to trigger our search.

Please share any progress.

Ideally, we would be able to do something like many other CRM's do with the leading phone systems and would launch the customer record on the match of the incoming caller ID. Is that what you are after?

Devon,

Came up with an intersting workaround to get direct page URL's in "New" Method.

Added "ShortURL" field to data tables. (Estimate, Invoice, etc.)
When saving an item (Estimate, Invoice, etc.) I am creating a ShortURL in a Save actionset. I only populate if the field is blank.

This allows me to call a short URL, going directly into "New" Method via the API. It is simply a field in a table.

Maybe this will help someone.

Thanks for the response. WHY NOT BE EXPLICIT IN THE DOCUMENTAION?

You reference the documenation in your response to my post as if to imply that the documentation makes some reference that I missed!

I KNOW THAT THE USER HAS TO BE LOGGED IN. This is not my issue at all and I didn't even mention that! My issue was that you don't address CLASSIC ONLY in your documentation.

Count Invoices in Customer Grid

Guys,

I am trying to do a simple count of invoices within a "Customer" grid. Is it possible to create an output for each line in a grid that Counts the number of recordID's in a row where the Field.Customer_RecordID = Control.Customers.Record ID.

I am able to create this in an expression, but I can't seem to find how to output this in a column within a row of the customer grid.

Can anyone provide some insight here?

I do this quite a bit via the API outside of MethodCRM, but wanted to keep this within the CRM.

Reduce Padding in Editable Grid

We are finding that the default padding int he Editable Grid is casuing some visual issues with the amount of "real estate" that we have on the page. We have a datepicker in one of the fields and it is often obscured.

Is it possible to alter the CSS style in an editable grid to reduce the padding? I did not see options within the styling of the "editable grid".
