It would be nice if there was a way to copy something from one screen, such as a default or custom button, and put it into another screen (of course it would have to be edited to fit the destination fields, etc.). Copying a script takes forever! This would make learning and heavy customizations much easier. It would also help when default screens are updated or have features added to them that we would like to use in our custom screens.

I know this would pose some problems. My thoughts would be to have a few memory slots that could be copied to and from, much like the memory on a calculator. If you like how a button or script works on one screen, copy it to memory, then when you open up the new screen you can paste it from a memory slot to where you'd like it.

Any thoughts?

This feature already exists in Method . When you are editing the actions on a control such as a button if you select the Copy Action radio button and then scroll to the very button of the Action drop down list you will see Show All Accessible Controls In Account, if you select that the Action drop down will now have access to controls on other screens.
