    Where is Advanced Search

Where is advanced search in the new upgrade?  We're lost without it!

    hi pdirect,

Danny answered this here in the comments but to make things easier his comment is below. Smile

    Method_Danny:

@pdirect - in terms of the "Advanced Search", it is still there but only when you add a new Activity.  It is located in the (...) next to the Contact dropdown list.  We've already had some initial feedback asking for this to be included on the Customers and Leads list so we are looking into adding this in.  Thanks for the feedback!

We REALLY need this functionality and may have to switch to the old setup to get it!  It is how our reps would create lists of customers they needed to visit in a particular city. It's also how we searched by various other fields to find certain customers or groups of customers.  For example, we classify our customers as Gold, Silver and Bronze and we would use the advanced search to see this list based on the customer types in QuickBooks.  We have to have this back!

pdirect- If you haven't yet uninstalled the old CRM screens as a temp solution add the Customer List screen to the Customer tab.

    Re: Where is Advanced Search

I could, but that can be confusing to users when they have two customer lists screens.  Long term, the new version NEEDS advanced search. In fact I'm quite surprised that you would remove this as advanced search and filtering is one of the staples of any quality CRM system.  We used this extensively in Microsoft CRM before switching to Method and we were hoping to see this area IMPROVED, not removed!

    Answer

pdirect - we here you loud and clear.  This should have been in the Customers and Leads List screens and was an oversight on our part.  We have full intentions of adding this back to the Customer List and the Leads List.  We've taken your feedback and placed an internal ticket for this.  The solution Mike provided was a temporary one.  If you really need the search, it is still there but located in the Activity screen by clicking the (...) next to the Contact name.  This also stands true for other screens like Opportunities, Cases, etc.

Good to hear! One improvement that would be wonderful in future releases is to be able to save advanced searches.  For example, one of our reps could save a search for all gold customers in chicago instead of needing to enter this information everytime.
