Locked user out

    Locked user out

    I passed the wrong password value in an API call multiple times and the user got locked out of Method. When I tried loggin in to Method it said I needed to wait 10 minutes before trying to log back in. I've tried multiple times after waiting more than 10 minutes and even tried resetting the password for this user all to no avail. The only way I am able to log in as this user is to change the user name.

    Hi Matt,

    This got lost in the shuffle. I think it's cumulative....You get locked after 5 failures....then if you only wait 2 minutes...it adds 10 minutes to the time so that's 18 minutes., etc. If the user is still locked out, send me an email with the accountname, and username and I'll see what I can do to unlock it.

    That makes sense, by the next day I was able to login fine and it took a little while to realize I had the wrong password.
