    multi-tenancy

Using multi-tenancy, is it possible to assign activities (for example) from franchisor to franchisee, and visce versa?

    Answer

    Hi Garrett,

Yes it is possible. You can add a drop down to your screen and have the logic change the Tenant ID to whoever you want when you click Save. However, this is only the tip of the iceberg. Multi-tenancy customization can get extremely complicated. There are many things to consider when implementing multi-tenancy systems, such as data conflicts, data permissions and much more.

We strongly recommend to let our paid in-house consultant to help you do any customization that involves multi-tenancy.

    Re: multi-tenancy

Thanks for the response.  To be more specific, if a franchise user adds a new contact (from a custom screen), we would like to add logic to the save button that would insert a record to the activity table in order to alert a franchisor user.  The problem is that the insert statement gives an error when trying to specify an "AssignTo" user from a different franchise.
Let me know if I need to take this question elsewhere.

    Thanks,
    Garrett

    Hey Garrett,

Can you please provide us a screenshot of the error message?

    Re: multi-tenancy

I think I am on the right track now.  There are definately a few more precautions needed when working with different tenants.  I will let you know if I need anything.
    Thanks
